Living Best

We’re on a mission to cultivate a community of people with a heart for developing and popularizing Age-Tech solutions that enrich the lives of ageing adults in Japan and beyond.

Why Age-Tech?

It’s a well-known fact that 30% of Japan’s population is already aged 65+, representing 36 million consumers (and rising!). More importantly, older Japanese people are financially comfortable, open-minded to technology, and have a higher quality of life, both physically and cognitively, than their Western counterparts are. The so-called “ageing care” market (i.e., medical/pharmaceutical, nursing care, and consumer goods fields) will become a 101.3 trillion yen (US$954 billion) industry by 2025, and its size will exceed that of domestic automobiles, finance, and home appliances.

UX-Focused Approach

Living Best’s Professional and User Communities work synergistically to bring corporates, startups, academia, and government – and importantly, investors – together with Japanese digitally-adapted, active agers.
