Dominic Carter

Hi, I’m Dominic Carter, Founder, President and CEO of The Carter Group. With Covid, we all became more aware of the challenges of ageing and longevity in our various societies around the globe. And over the past five years or so, the uptake in AgeTech solutions addressing the needs of ageing individuals has been remarkable. But the road to market can be long-and-rocky for product developers! Recently my own parents in Australia have begun to need much more help, as they’re also getting older. That made me want to be a part of accelerating the speed at which we can bring these solutions to market in a viable manner. At The Carter Group, we are committed to helping to solve this very important social problem in our world through our LIVING BEST Professional and User Groups. We invite you to join us in our quest!

Hi, I'm Debbie Howard, Chairman of The Carter Group-JMRN. I have lived and worked in Japan since 1985, with a front row seat to the rapid ageing here for nearly 40 years. My experience with caregiving for my mom in the US opened my eyes even further to the global challenges of ageing and family caregiving and it inspired me to become an advocate in this important space that impacts all of us. You can hear me talking about it on podcasts, in corporate workshops, and of course here in our LIVING BEST Professional Group, where we seek to supercharge the innovation ecosystem around AgeTech products. We hope you’ll join our mission!

Hi, I’m Adam Claydon-Platt, Head of Ventures at Living Best. I founded my first business in Japan almost 20 years ago and for the past 5 years, I‘ve been supporting and investing in startups. One of my main jobs these past few years, is helping international startups collaborate with Japanese corporations - in fields including smart cities, cleantech, healthtech, & AgeTech. I’m passionate about this work, because I believe it’s one of the best ways I can contribute to the much-needed realization of digital transformation, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals, in Japan. I’m honored to be working working for The Carter Group’s Living Best Community, curating & supporting AgeTech start-ups to help aging adults (and their carers) live healthier, happier lives.

Hi, I’m Asako Kurosaki, General Manager for The Carter Group and for the Living Best User Group. I’m so excited to push forward the initiatives of our Living Best Community. For professionals, we provide networking and opportunities for new product development in the AgeTech sector. For users, we provide the chance to help companies create new AgeTech products to improve our daily lives.Through these two important initiatives, we hope to make a tangible contribution to improving the lives of Japanese ageing adults (and naturally, those who care for them, too).
